The following example uses a Symbian S60 phone but the process is similar on other phones and the web. It only takes a few clicks and under 10 seconds to create a Place. Your phone will attempt to automatically locate you whenever the FindMe function is activated and refreshed. GPS can be manually started and stopped under Options at any time. Also under Options is a flexible feature called Set My Location that accepts city name, street address, regional name or by airport code. You can change your location by creating a Place with PlaceMe. The phone will automatically capture your location using GPS. This Place will then be registered as your current location. If your phone does not have GPS or cannot find a GPS signal you can set your location by simply typing in the address you are at by using Set My Location under Options. Places can be sent to friends through email or text message inside GyPSii. When viewing a Place, select Options then Send To Friend and pick email or text. They will receive a message with a link to the Place. You can see a list of your friends using SpaceMe. You can see how far they are from you then view a map to see their most recent location. The information you can get will depend on what they entered in their profile. You will see information including their latest Place, phone number, email address and IM screenname. You can call, send a text message (SMS) or an email to any other member from inside GyPSii. When viewing friends under SpaceMe or through one of their Places their contact information is available and can be used immediately. How do I find interesting Places? When you look for a Place using ExploreMe, you can choose from several categories (Eating, Arts, etc) and scope (All, Friends, Mine). Next add keywords to narrow the results to find exactly what you are looking for. This depends on what kind of information the creator has added to a Place. You will be able to view media such as photos and videos of the Place, when it was created, how far it is from your current location, a description, tags, who created it and a map of the Place. The Places on GyPSii have been created by other GyPSii members. When you search for a Place you can choose to search for all Places or only the ones created by your friends or yourself. In addition you can see Points of Interest (POIs) such as restaurants, ATMs and shops. Video Help:
