GYPSII USER GUIDE FOR S60 MOBILE PHONES
Introducing GyPSii GyPSii® connects people, places and communities across networks and devices, from work to play to home, enabling members to share their real life experiences in the virtual world, using mobile devices, the web and Internet connected devices. GyPSii enables you to social network, capture, edit and share your user generated content and places. You can explore location based content, services and points of interest, find people, your friends and content in your select communities, connect your experiences, locate and map your friends and places. Build an electronic diary of people, your friends, your places, their places with full location context & maps to be shared and viewed with family, friends, business colleagues and communities. Note that if you try to install the application on a mobile phone that is not compatible with GyPSii, you will be notified with the following warning "Application not compatible with phone. Continue anyway?". If you install the application anyway, there is no guarantee that the application and all of its features and functions will work as intended. If the application is not compatible with your phone, you can still use the GyPSii service available on the Internet. GETTING STARTED WITH THE SERVICE You can sign up with the GyPSii service either by using your phone’s GyPSii application or by registering as a user at www.gypsii.com. Note that to use the GyPSii service in Chinese, it is recommended to go to the Chinese server at www.gypsii.com.cn. To sign up by using your phone - Open the GyPSii application by highlighting and selecting the application icon in phone’s menu.
- Open options menu by selecting Options. In the options list, highlight and open Sign Up.
- Fill in the following information:
- E-mail address: This is the address where the GyPSii service confirmation message will be sent, and which is later used to log into the GyPSii service. Make sure the address is given in name@address format.
- Display name: Create a display name for the GyPSii service. This is the name that will be shown for GyPSii members.
- Password: Create a password for the GyPSii service that contains 6-8 characters.
- Confirm password: Repeat your password to confirm it.
- Birthday: Your date of birth is needed to verify your age. To use the GyPSii service, you need to be at least 13 years old.
Once you have filled in the required information, submit your request to the GyPSii service by selecting Submit. Or, if you wish to cancel your request, select Cancel to return back to the application main view. Note that in order to use the special GyPSii features you are required to successfully complete this sign up process. Once your request has been received, you will get a confirmation message from the service to the e-mail address you provided. You should then activate your account by following the instructions given in the confirmation message. When your account is activated, you can start using the service. Internet registration Using your regular Internet browser, go to at www.gypsii.com (www.gypsii.com.cn for Chinese users) and select Sign Up from the navigation bar. Fill in the registration form by entering the following information: - E-mail address: This is the address where a GyPSii confirmation message will be sent, and which will be used to log into the GyPSii service. Make sure the address given is valid (in name@address format).
- Display name: Create a display name for the GyPSii service. This is the name that will be shown for other GyPSii members.
- Date of birth: Your date of birth is needed to verify your age. To use the GyPSii service, you need to be at least 13 years old.
- Password: Create a password for the GyPSii service that contains 6-8 characters.
- Confirm password: Repeat your password to confirm it.
- Postal code: Postal code is required only for US, UK and Canada.
- Country: Select your country from the drop-down list.
- Time zone: Select your time zone from the drop-down list.
- Gender: Gender is added to your personal information.
- Image for your profile icon: You can select an image to be added to your profile icon. This image is visible to other GyPSii users. Select the image by browsing for it on your computer. You can also leave this field empty.
- Verification: Copy the text from the verification image into this field.
Please indicate that you have read and agree to the GyPSii service terms and conditions by ticking the relevant box. Once you have completed the form Sign Up. Once your request has been received, you will get a confirmation message from the service to the e-mail address you provided. You should then activate your account by following the instructions given in the confirmation message. When your account is activated, you can start using the service. GYPSII FRIENDS You can search for other GyPSii members and add them to your friends list by using the GyPSii Internet Service. GyPSii friends are trusted partners who can share private information with each other. The friends list in your GyPSii account can be imported in your phone, after which you can view your friends on the map, and call or send them messages by using your phone’s GyPSii application. Searching, adding and removing friends Log into your GyPSii account at www.gypsii.com (www.gypsii.com.cn for Chinese users) and click on People in the navigation bar. Select Explore. In this view, you can also search for specified GyPSii members. Define a search term e.g. a friend’s name, or a part of it. You can narrow the search also by defining the time when they joined in GyPSii. Define search criteria in Created/ Friends drop-down menus. If you wish to use a keyword, you define one in Search for text field. Start searching by selecting Go. When you have found the desired friend in the search result list, you can add this person to your friends by clicking Add to Friends and confirming your choice when prompted. An invitation message is sent to the selected person, asking whether or not they wish to accept you as their friend. If the invitation is accepted, the person will be added to your friends list. You can also write your own personal message to be included in the invitation message. To view your friends list, click on Quick links in the navigation bar. Select My friends. The list is updated automatically when new friends are added or removed. If you wish to remove a friend from your list, click Remove and confirm your choice when prompted. Inviting friends You can use your phone to invite friends who are not yet GyPSii members. Open the GyPSii application, and select Options. Highlight and select Invite friend. You may then choose whether you wish to send the invitation via text message (SMS) or e-mail. - If you choose to invite friends Via text message, you will see a default message. You may edit this invitation as you wish. Type your friends’ mobile numbers in recipient field, or select them from your phone's contact list.
- If you choose to invite friends Via e-mail, enter your friends’ e-mail addresses, or select them from your phone's contact list by opening Options > Add recipient.
After entering contact information, select Send to send your invitation. Using GyPSii with your phone Open the GyPSii application by highlighting and selecting the application icon, or by selecting Open from the Options menu. When the application opens, a privacy statement is displayed, informing you on how the application uses other features on your phone. Accept the privacy statement by selecting OK. You are also given the option to avoid seeing this statement in the future. If you do wish to avoid this, select Yes. Selecting No will display the privacy statement next time the GyPSii application is opened. You can close the application by selecting Exit. Connection to the GyPSii server Several GyPSii operations require connection to the GyPSii server. The connection is needed e.g. when: sending a new Place to your GyPSii account, or refreshing your friend’s list from the GyPSii server, Also finding your own, or your friend’s map location, searching for GyPSii places, and displaying their map location, as well as manually setting your own location. When one of these operations is about to be performed, a server connection query is displayed. Accept the connection by selecting Ok. If you do not wish to accept the connection, select No. You may avoid this message in future by switching connection query off in Settings. For more information, see GyPSii options list. GYPSII MAIN FEATURES The GyPSii application main features in your phone include: - PlaceMe - Create places for adding places to your GyPSii Internet Service account.
- SpaceMe - Find friends for keeping in touch with your GyPSii friends by seeing their map locations, sending them messages, or calling them.
- ExploreMe - Find places for searching for interesting places added to the GyPSii server by other GyPSii members and/or your GyPSii friends.
- FindMe - Where am I? for viewing your own map location.
- Me - My membership for viewing your own personal GyPSii account information.
Open the desired feature by highlighting and selecting it. You can also select Open from the application Options. When any of the features is opened, you can also switch between them by using the tabs on the top row of the application view. GyPSii options list Open the GyPSii application options by selecting Options. Close the list and return back to the application main view by choosing Cancel. Select the desired option by highlighting and selecting it, or by using Select. Note that the available options depend on the currently selected application feature. In the GyPSii application main view, the following options are included: - Open: This opens the selected function or feature.
- My Favourites: This displays a list of places you have saved as your favourites.
- You can open a desired place by highlighting and selecting it, or choosing Open from the Options menu. The favourite will be opened in a place details view. For more information, see Place details view.
- In order to view the selected place on a map, select Options > Show on map.
- You can send the place to a friend by SMS/e-mail by selecting Options > Send to friend > Via text message/ Via e-mail.
- If you wish to remove a place from your favourites, select Options > Delete. Or, remove several places at the same time by selecting Options > Mark/Unmark > Mark/Unmark all. You can also clear your selection.
- In order to manually set your own location to a selected place, choose Options > Locate me here.
If your phone does not have GPS but does have Bluetooth, it will automatically start searching for nearby Bluetooth devices. From the list of found devices, you may then highlight and select the desired Bluetooth device. The GyPSii application also supports network positioning which is turned on simultaneously with starting GPS. If GPS position is not available, network position is used instead. - Set my location: This allows you to manually set your location to a desired place. Select the option, and enter the desired place in the Set my location to text field. You can enter the entire address, or parts of it, e.g. a town or country name. Then select Ok. You will receive a list of places from the GyPSii server, matching your entry. Select the desired place from the list. Or, choose Cancel and select the option again if you cannot find your place in the list.
- Invite friend: You can send an invitation to join GyPSii to a friend who is not yet a member. The invitation can be sent by text message (SMS) or e-mail. For more information, see Inviting friends.
- About: This displays information about your current GyPSii version.
- Settings: You can view and edit User, GPS, or General settings. Highlight and select the desired choice. To close the settings, select Back. You can change settings by selecting the desired setting, and opening Options > Change.
- User: User settings include E-mail address, Password and Visibility: E-mail address and Password should be set to those defined when creating your GyPSii account. Once you have logged in to GyPSii with your phone application, your e-mail address and password are automatically stored to avoid prompting for them every time the application connects to the GyPSii server.
In the Visibility field, you can define whether or not you wish to be visible to other GyPSii members. You can turn visibility on or off. - GPS: GPS settings include settings for GPS activity and aquisition interval.
Activity defines whether GPS in on or off. Acquisition interval defines how often GPS should refresh your position. Select the desired frequency from the drop-down selection list. - General: You can also define some general settings to customise your GyPSii application. Download images defines whether you wish to download friends’ images to the friends list, as well as images of places to the ExploreMe list, or not.
Results per page defines how many search results, or friends are downloaded from the GyPSii server per one download session. Open the setting, and enter the desired amount into the field, then select Ok. With Map size you can define the size of map you wish to use. Select the desired size from the drop-down list. Server connection allows you to select whether you want to Confirm always, Confirm first time, or Never confirm connection to the GyPSii server. - Help: This opens the GyPSii help files.
- Exit: This will close the GyPSii application and returns back to the main menu.
PLACEME In the PlaceMe application you can add your images, video-clips or soundclips to your GyPSii account. The added media can then be viewed as places by other GyPSii members. You can change the visibility settings for your places by logging into the GyPSii Internet Service and changing the settings for each place separately. Open the options list to select which kind of media you wish to send to the GyPSii server. Then fill in the following: - Category: This opens a drop-down list, in which you can select the most suitable category to describe your place.
- Place name: This defines a name for your place.
- Description: This allows you to add a short description of your place.
- Tags: To help other GyPSii members find your place, you can define tags for it. Tags are usually short, descriptive words, which other GyPSii members could use when searching for places with the ExploreMe feature.
- Destination folder: This opens a drop-down list of all the folders in your GyPSii account. You may select where the place will be added. You can create new folders, or delete existing ones in your account using the GyPSii Internet Service. As a default, My Public Folder is available.
- Community: This opens a drop-down list of all of your GyPSii communities. To assign the place to one of the communities, highlight and select the desired community from the list.
After you have finished editing your settings, select Send from the options list to send your media to the GyPSii server. PlaceMe options In the Options list, the special PlaceMe options are: - Send: This sends your material to the GyPSii server.
- Insert new: This allows you to create a new Image, Video clip, or Sound clip that you can add to your new GyPSii place. Note that creating new media will require that there are suitable media applications available on your phone.
- Insert media: Select this to insert media if you wish to add an existing Image, Video clip, or Sound clip to your GyP-Sii account. Note that protected files (DRM protected media) cannot be inserted.
- Remove image/ video clip/ sound clip: This will remove inserted media from the place.
- Refresh folders: This will update your folder information from the GyPSii server.
- Refresh communities: Select this to update your available communities from the GyPSii server.
- Start/ Stop GPS: With this you can start/ stop your phone’s GPS device.
- Set my location: This allows you to manually set your location to a desired place. For more information, see GyPSii options list.
- Settings: This will open the application settings. For more information, see GyPSii options list.
- Help: Select this to open the GyPSii application help files.
- Exit: This closes the GyPSii application and returns back to main menu.
SPACEME With the SpaceMe feature you can download a list of your friends from the GyPSii Internet Service to your phone. You can then use your phone to see your friends’ locations on a map, send them messages, or call them. You can also open your friends’ websites, or invite new friends to join GyPSii. Refreshing friends from the GyPSii server When SpaceMe is opened for the first time, you will be asked to refresh your friends list, in order to update your phone application with the latest information available from the GyPSii Internet Service. If you have already used SpaceMe before to download your friends list, the list will be displayed automatically when SpaceMe is opened. Note, that you need to refresh the list if you wish to update it with the latest available information. To refresh your friends list, choose Refresh from the options list. If the server connection notification has not been disabled, the application will then notify you that connecting to the server will cause a charge on your phone bill. Accept the notification by selecting Yes. Selecting No will dismiss the notification and return back to the previous view without displaying your current friends list. After the server connection notification is accepted, the application will ask for your e-mail address and password if they are not already saved in the settings. Enter your e-mail address and password for the GyPSii service and choose OK. Then select the desired Internet access point by highlighting its name and choosing Select. The list will begin downloading from the server, and will be displayed in the persons list view. List of friends and persons A persons list is displayed as a result of performing the SpaceMe operation, or selecting Options > View friends for a person opened for detailed viewing. In a persons list, you can see your own GyPSii friends, or friends of the selected person, ordered by their distance to your last known location in the GyPSii server. The person closest to you, is displayed on top. You can scroll up and down the friend list. Select the desired person for more detailed viewing by highlighting and selecting the person’s name, or by choosing Open from the Options list. If there are more persons in the list than can be displayed at once, you can select Download more on the bottom row of the list to view more results. You can also edit Results per page in Settings to change how many results can be displayed at one time. For more information, see GyPSii options list. Options for persons list In the Options list, the special persons list options are: - Open: This will display detailed information for the currently selected person.
- Refresh: This refreshes the persons list from the GyPSii server.
- Download more: If there are more persons in the persons list than can be displayed at once, selecting this will bring in more results. Show coupon: If you select advert with a coupon in the persons list, this option opens it for viewing on your phone’s web browser, or in coupon code view.
- Show on map: This allows you to see the map location of the currently selected person.
- Create message: This allows you to send a text message to the currently selected person. A text message field opens, in which the person's phone number is preselected. Write your message in the text field below, and send by selecting Options > Send.
- Call: If the currently selected person has an available phone number, selecting this option starts a call to them.
- Go to website: This opens a website of the currently selected person, if a valid website address is available.
- Invite friend: You can send an invitation to join GyPSii to a person who is not yet a member. The invitation can be sent by text message (SMS) or e-mail. For more information, see Inviting friends.
- Start/ Stop GPS: With this you can start/ stop your phone’s GPS device. For more information, see GyPSii options list
- Set my location: This allows you to manually set your location to a desired place. For more information, see GyPSii options list.
- Save to Favourites: If the persons list includes adverts, the Save to Favourites option is available for saving a selected advert to your list of favourites.
- Help: Select this to open the GyPSii application help files.
- Exit: Select this to close GyPSii application and return back to the main menu.
Person details In the persons list, you can open a desired person for more detailed viewing. Highlight and select a person, or choose Open from the Options list. Your selected friend’s details are displayed with the following information, if available: - Name: The name the person has defined for GyPSii account.
- Distance: This displays the distance between you and the person. Note than the distance is calculated between the most recent locations you and the selected person have stored on the GyPSii server. The distance units depend on your phone language.
- About me: This is the person’s description of themselves.
- Last place: The name of the place the person has last updated.
- Number of friends: This shows the number of GyPSii friends that the person has.
- Number of places: This shows the number of places the person has added to the GyPSii server.
- Mobile: The person’s mobile telephone number.
- Website: The person’s website address.
- AIM screen name: The person’s AOL.instant messenger screen name.
- Skype name: The person’s Skype user name.
- MSN user name: The person’s MSN user name.
- ICQ nickname: The person’s ICQ nickname.
- Yahoo IM user name: The person’s Yahoo IM user name.
- Google Talk user name: The person’s Google Talk user name.
- Last update: This is the date of the most recent place update the selected person has made.
Options for person details When a person details view is open, you can access to the following feature options: - Show on map: This allows you see the map location of the currently selected person.
- Create message: This allows you to send a text message to the currently selected person. A text message field opens, in which the person's phone number is preselected. Write your message in the text field below, and send by selecting Options > Send.
- Call: If the currently selected person has an available phone number, selecting this option starts a call to them.
- Go to website: This opens a website of the currently selected person, if a valid website address is available.
- Open last place: This opens the last place the selected person has added to the GyPSii server. The place will be opened in the place details view. For more information, see Place details view.
- View places: Selecting this will display a list of places the person has added to the GyPSii server. For more information, see List of places.
- View friends: This displays a list of GyPSii friends the selected person has. For more information, see List of People.
- Refresh: This refreshes the selected person’s information from the GyPSii server.
- Help: Select this to open the GyPSii application help files.
- Exit: Select this to close GyPSii application and return back to the main menu.
EXPLOREME The ExploreMe feature enables you to search for different places that have been added to the GyPSii server by either yourself, your friends or all GyPSii members. In order to search for a place, you can choose a category from the drop-down list. Open the list by highlighting and selecting Category field. Then browse to select the desired category. You can also define a keyword to search for in Keyword text field. The keyword could be anything relevant to the search be e.g. “museum”. The Content field defines whether you are searchig for all places in the GyPSii server, GyPSii places (e.g places added by other GyPSii users), or POIs (Points of Interest). Selecting Closest/ Latest/ Most popular in the Sort by drop-down list defines in which order the ExploreMe search results are sorted. If you wish to narrow your search even more, the Date drop-down list enables you to define the time the searched place has been created: Anytime/ Today/ This week/ This month. In the Created by field, you can define who has created the place you are searching for. You can search for places that have been added to the GyPSii server by anyone, your friends, or yourself. After you have defined the settings, start the search by selecting Explore from the options list. If the server connection notification has not been disabled, the application will then notify you that connecting to the server will cause a charge on your phone bill. Accept the notification by selecting Yes. Selecting No will dismiss the notification and return back to the previous view without performing the search. When the search is completed, a list will be displayed including locations that match your search criteria. List of places A place list is displayed as a result of performing the ExploreMe operation, or selecting Options > View places for a person opened for detailed viewing. You can scroll the listed locations, or open them for detailed viewing. To open a place, select it from the list of places, or choose Options > Open. You can also send the selected location to a friend, view it on a map, search for more results, or start another search. Place list options In the place list view, you can access the following options: - Open: This opens the selected place.
- Show coupon: If the selected place is an advert with a coupon, this option opens it for viewing on your phone’s web browser, or in coupon code view.
- Show on map: This will display the selected place on a map.
- Call: If the place is associated with a phone number, selecting this option calls the number.
- Go to website: If the place is associated with a web address, selecting this option opens it with your phone’s browser.
- View image/Play video clip/Play sound clip: If the place is associated with an image, video clip, or sound clip, select this to pen it for viewing.
- View creator: This opens a person details view for the person who has created the selected place.
- Send to friend: You can send the selected place to your friend. The place is sent in a predefined GyPSii message. Highlight and and select:
- Via text message: A text message (SMS) form opens, in which you can see a predefined GyPSii message is already entered. Enter your friend’s mobile number in the recipient field. You can also select a recipient from your phone’s contacts list by going to the recipient field and opening the contact list. Then browse to select the desired contact. Send your message by selecting Options > Send.
- Via e-mail: When sending a place via e-mail, enter your friends e-mail address, or select it from your phone's contact list by opening Options > Add recipient.
- Save to Favourites: This allows you to save the selected place to your list of favourite places. The place can then be quickly opened for detailed viewing in GyPSii main view Options > My Favourites.
- Locate me here: This sets your location on the GyPSii server to the place which is currently selected when this option is activated. Note that using this option automatically turns off your GPS. You can turn the GPS back on, and return back to GPS positioning by selecting Start GPS from GyPSii main menu Options.
- Explore more/ Download more: If more results are found than can be displayed at once, you can select Explore more/ Download more to view more results. You can also edit Options > Settings > General > Results per page to change how many results can be displayed at one time.
- New ExploreMe: This will open the ExploreMe view to start a new search.
- Help: Select this to open the GyPSii application help files.
- Exit: Select this to close GyPSii application and return back to the main menu.
Place details view Place details view is opened when you select a place in the ExploreMe results list, or any other list of places for more detailed viewing. The following information is displayed, for the opened place, if available: - Name: This is the name of the selected place.
- Coupon code: If the selected place is an advert with a coupon, the coupon code is shown in this field.
- Distance: This displays the distance between you and the selected place. Note than the distance is calculated between the place and your most recent location stored on the GyPSii server. The distance units depend on your phone language.
- Creator: This displayes the GyPSii display name of the person who has created the selected place.
- Description: This is the description attached to the selected place.
- Number of comments: This shows how many comments have been added to the selected place.
- Telephone: This displays the phone number associated with the selected place.
- Address: This displays the street address associated with the selected place.
- Webpage: This shows the webpage address of the selected place.
- Last update: This shows how long ago the place was last updated.
While in the place details view, you can access the available options by opening Options and selecting the desired choice. The options menu includes the same options than available in the place list view. For more information, see Place list options. In addition, you can also select Options > View comments/ Add comment to view comments added to the place, or to add your own comment. Commenting places In place details view, you can add comments to the currently opened place, or view comments added to the place by other GyPSii users. In place details view, number of comments added to the place is displayed in the Number of comments field. To view the comments, highlight and select the field, or choose View comments from the Options menu. The available comments will begin downloading from the GyPSii server. The results will be displayed in comments list, showing display names of the GyPSii members who have created the comments. You can open each comment for detailed viewing. Highlight and select a comment to open it. Or, select Open in the Options menu. The comment will be opened in the comment view, displaying information on the GyPSii member who has sent the comment, when the comment was sent, and the actual comment content. You can also view detailed information on the person who has sent the comment. In the comments list, or in comment details view, select Options > View commenter. Or, open the commenter details by highlighting and selecting the commenter field in comment details view. The commenter information will be displayed in the person details view. For more information on the available details, see Person details. To add your own comment to a desired place, open Options > Add comment while in place details view, comments list, or comment details view. In the comments list, you can also select Add comment on the top of the list. A text field opens, in which you can enter your comment. When ready, choose Options > Send to send the comment to the GyPSii server. FINDME FindMe is a feature which places you on map by using the your latest available location information. When opening FindMe, you are first asked to refresh the map in order to update it with your current location. To start refreshing the map, select Refresh from the Options list. If the server connection notification is not disabled, the application will then notify you that connecting to the server will cause charge on your phone bill. Accept the notification by selecting Yes. Selecting No will dismiss the notification and return you back to the previous view without displaying your location on map. After refreshing is complete, a map is displayed with your current location on it. You can view the map by panning and zooming it in or out. Close FindMe and return back to the application’s main view by selecting Back. FindMe options In the Options list, the special FindMe options are: - Open advert: If map includes an advert, you can open it view by selecting this option.
- Refresh: Selecting this option will refresh the map with your current location from the GyPSii server.
- Pan [0]/ Cancel panning: Selecting this option allows you to pan the map to desired directions, or cancel the panning mode.
- Phones with touch screen: Pan the map by dragging it to desired directions.
- Phones without touch screen: You can activate/deactivate the panning mode also by using the shortcut key 0. Pan the map by using your phone’s arrow keys.
- Zoom in [*]/ Zoom out [#]: This activates map zooming. You can zoom in or out of the map by selecting the desired option.
- Phones with touch screen: You can zoom the map also by tapping zoom out (-) and zoom in (+) buttons on the screen toolbar.
- Phones without touch screen: You can zoom the map also by using your phone’s up/down arrow keys, or the defined shortcut keys (*/ #). Pressing the arrow up key, or the star (*) key, will zoom the map in. Pressing the arrow down key, or the hash (#) key, will zoom the map out.
Note that while using zoom, the map is being downloaded from the server, and other map functions are not possible at this time. - Start/ Stop GPS: With this you can start/ stop your phone’s GPS device. For more information, see GyPSii options list.
- Set my location: This allows you to manually set your location to a desired place. For more information, see GyPSii options list.
- Settings: This opens GyPSii settings. For more information, see GyPSii options list.
- Help: Select this to open the GyPSii application help files.
- Exit: Select this to close GyPSii application and return back to the main menu.
ME Me displays your own GyPSii account information. The following information is displayed, if available: - Name: The display name you have defined for your GyPSii account.
- About me: Your own description.
- Last place: This shows the place you have last updated.
- Number of friends: This is the number of your GyPSii friends.
- Number of places: This is the number of places you have added to your GyPSii account.
- Mobile: Your mobile telephone number.
- Website: Your website address.
- E-mail: The e-mail address specified for your GyPSii account.
- AIM screen name: Your screen name for AOL.instant messenger.
- Skype name: Your Skype user name.
- MSN user name: Your MSN user name.
- ICQ nickname: Your ICQ nickname.
- Yahoo IM user name: Your Yahoo IM user name.
- Google Talk user name: Your Google Talk user name.
- Last update: This shows when you have last updated your GyPSii account.
- Member since: This displays date when you joined GyPSii.
While in Me view, you can open the Options list, and select: - Refresh: This updates your latest available information from the GyPSii server.
- Show on map: This allows you to see your own location on a map. Note that the displayed location is your latest location stored on the GyPSii server, set manually, or by GPS.
- Go to website: If there is a website address defined in your account, selecting this will display the website in your phone’s browser.
- Open last place: With this, you can quickly open the last place you have added to your GyPSii account.
- View places: This opens a list of all places you have added to your GyPSii account. For more information, see List of places.
- View friends: This opens a list of your GyPSii friends. For more informations, see List of friends.
- Start/ Stop GPS: With this you can start/ stop your phone’s GPS device. For more information, see GyPSii
- Set my location: This allows you to manually set your location to a desired place. For more information, see GyPSii options list.
- Settings: This opens GyPSii settings. For more information, see GyPSii options list.
- Help: Select this to open the GyPSii application help files.
- Exit: Select this to close GyPSii application and return back to the main menu.
